ARTISAN

BY JOHN VARVATOS

A pleasant mandarin citrus opening with a kitchen herb note - marjoram, sage, and thyme mainly- leads to a somewhat exotic drydown, dominated by gentle spices and floral impressions.

The spices develop a bit, but it is mainly a bright-ish ginger that is dominant n my skin.

The base has a woodsy flavor; quite nonspecific with kephalis, georgywood, and an undertone of ambery white musks.

Never exciting with a certain artifical-laboratory-chemical feel to it, this is still a nice, solidly crafted scent with decent sillage and projection on my skin, but an abysmal longevity - no, shortevity on me of two hours.  Nevertheless, agreeable in an insipid manner it is.
