A blended Whisky bottled by Cadenhead in Aberdeen, discontinued for several decades.
Hielanman Whisky bottled by Cadenhead Aberdeen - not sure about the age but probably about 30-40 years old. Distilled probably by Glenfarclas. 40%
ABV.
A golden colour, with a nice nose of figs, honey and caramel that is not very intense though. In the mouth one got caramel, candle wax, some menthol with a
pinch of a smooth pepper.
Later on it becomes more mineral, and also sweeter with some honeysuckle, toasted walnuts and chestnuts. This Scotch is smooth and soft, with no peat of
course, but it is not very rich or intense. It displays a nice balance, with a good 70 seconds of a fading finish at the tail end. 3.75/5
