May 2021 during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The location of the lounge was unchanged; it was open.

The COVID-19 cleanliness safety measures were good.

The lounge was much less crowded that before the pandemic.

The distance between the chairs was less that 1.5m.

Fortunately, the lack of crowding made social distancing easily possible.

The food and beverage choice was slightly reduced, and the buffets were, fortunately, closed and replaced by proper service.

100 years of Qantas - a touch of sadness with the anniversary year being in a pandemic period.

The toilets and amenities were good as usual.  The showers were not available though.


The staff were very helpful.
