A regular beachside haunt for many years, even from when it was still Jacques Reymond's Jean Jacques by the Sea.
Beautiful food, creative but with some classics that have been subtly re-invented - with the Bombe Alaska a perennial favourite. The wine list has improved over the years as has the service, but it still might need a special request to get a proper table in the central section. An excellent array of stemware and decanters. The outside area can no longer be used for a relaxing cigar break and is now another eating area. At times the atmosphere can be a bit more canteen that restaurant, but overall this is one of the very best seaside restaurants in Melbourne. December 2018 4/5
