- TAILLEVENT Three visits 1984 (lunch and dinner on the same day, 1985 (dinner) and 1988.)  ALL 5/5. 

The first lunch/dinner was one of the best meals I ever had. After lunch Mr. Vrinat showed me a list of the Reserve Cave and I had to stay on...until near-midnight.

- GRAND VEFOUR Four visits 1984 5/5, 1988 4.5/5 and 2002 5/5. 

- Maxim's 1986 4.5/5

- Lucas Carton 1986 (Alain Senderens) 4.75/5

- Alain Ducasse @ Plaza Athenee Hotel 5/5 2003 a perfect luncheon - might no longer fulfill inclusion criteria.

- Dodin-Bouffant 1985 - a vibrant brasserie that was elegant but not too noisy. Beautiful streak frites, but overall lighter fare than expected and not untouched by Nouvelle Cuisine. Good but not great wine list.  4.25/5.
