2012 Bass Philippe Premium Pinot Noir Gippsland Victoria Australia, produced by all natural methods: a transparent light ruby colour with a
slightly orange rim; a bouquet of cherries, redcurrants and wood. In the mouth there is an initial sweetness, which gives way to plums, chutney, cherry confit, and a touch of
earthiness. There is just the right amount of background acidity, and it is intense initially but drops of in richness quite quickly. The finish of 60 seconds
is nice. This wine improves with oxygen, so open the bottle 4-6 hours before pouring drink now. Not decanted. 3.5/5
