2011 Griottes-Chambertin Claude Dugat Grand Cru at Gevrey-Chambertin in the Cote de Nuit region: a bright transparent garnet, on the nose blackcurrants, raspberries - with black cherries and sweet black peppers arising after oxygenation; associated with sweet spices and touches of white smoke with oak. On the palate there were soft spice, lots of smooth oak aromas, but limited fruit only except some cassis. It was soft, with earthy touches and hints of cardboard. The Finish of 30 seconds was thin.
