JAPON NOIR

BY TOM FORD

Sweet and smoky but very mild on my skin. Fruit and amber round it off in an interesting fashion.  I get a reasonable jasmine, a mildly smoky leather and a touch of patchouli - all a bit anaemic after the opening blast; nothing of the power of, for instance, Purple Patchouli by the same House.

A shame that on me it has poor projection and appalling longevity - an hour and it's gone.

Overall 2.75/5
