1998 M Chapoutier Barbe Rac 100%Granache: A rich dark woodberry aroma, followed on the palate by flavours of blackberries, blueberries, black cherries, with a little residual tannin. It is soft and smooth with a velvety Barolo-like texture. The finish is just over 30 seconds long. It is just over its peak and should last for another ten years or so if stored well. It is probably best to decant it just before drinking. February 2019. 4.25/5
