LONDON DRY BIG GIN

Big Gin London Dry Gin from Seattle AW 47% Batch 296.
Made in 100 gallon Vendome pot stills from nine botanicals.
Clear colour.  On the nose was Juniper galore.   In the mouth mainly juniper again and some basil, with hints of citrus and a general herbal undertone.  It is quite a straightforward Gin with not much depth or texture; it is bit shallow but quite elegant and a great mixer.

BIG GIN BOURBON BARRELED

Big Gin London Dry Bourbon Barreled Seattle 47% Barrel 168-174 Bottle 446
A light brown yellow colour - a bit like white wine - is followed by a nose of white pepper, dried driftwood and hints of toffee.  Very nice.
In the mouth we got cinnamon, pinewood, citrus, lots of juniper, and whiffs of vanilla.  A tad later there was additional white pepper and dry ashes.  This all was increasingly, and at times maybe too intensely, infused with white smoke throughout the amazingly long finish of about 100 seconds.   Very impressive, and delicious on its own.
