26/7/21 1976 Château de Beaulon Très Vieille Réserve du Château, a single estate Cognac that is estate bottled Ugni Blanc grape:  the colour was a pale brown
with a yellow hue, and the bouquet exuded lots of wood, cinnamon, vanilla, and some smokiness; a bit later also overripe bananas with a dash of white pepper.  On the palate one got spices,
caramel, toffee, Stollen, raisin muffins, and an undertone of suede.   It was medium-bodied bodied, with a fairly complex finish 40 seconds.  after some exposure to air is becomes
a bit flatter; it is probably past its peak but will last for a while.  Still, it is best drunk now. 3.75/5
