Emporio Armani He by Giorgio Armani

The opening blast with its yuzu, bergamot and cardamom is bright and clear; it has a herbal undertone and a steely feel to it.  In the drydown hints of violet leaf arise, and a herbal impression, mainly sage and a woody celery develops, with whiffs of white pepper adding touches of spice.   At times I get touches of lemon-flavoured Gin.

Whilst the yuzu vanishes in the later stages of the development and the overall mood becomes a bit warmer, the bright herbal and steely character remains for well into the base.  I get moderate sillage, good projection, and 5 hours of longevity on my skin.

This bright warm weather scent has some interesting features, but a chemical undertone drags it into a somewhat ordinary region of perfumery.  Still, not a bad one.
